How to Add a Spouse, Child, and Other Beneficiary

When adding beneficiaries to an employee's benefits profile, it is best to set up the relationships prior to determining their eligibility for the benefit(s).

The beneficiaries we will be adding are:

  • Spouse
  • Child
  • Other
Navigating to Relationships Field Value Setup
  • Go to the Menu, expand Setup and click Setup Properties.

  • Hover over Field Value Setup from the top menu bar and click Relationships from the list.

The "Relationships" page will list default relationships and user-created relationships.

Adding a Spouse Relationship

  • In the given fields:
    • Enter "Spouse" for the name of the Relationship.
    • Select the "Spouse" Category of the relationship.
    • Use the checkbox for the Dependent and Beneficiary Relationships.

  • Click Save.

Adding a Child Relationship

  • In the given fields:
    • Enter "Child" for the name of the Relationship.
    • Select the "Dependent" Category of the relationship.
    • Use the checkbox for the Dependent and Beneficiary Relationships.

  • Click Save.

Adding an Other Relationship

  • In the given fields:
    • Enter "Other" for the name of the Relationship.
    • Select the "Beneficiary" Category of the relationship.
    • Use the checkbox for the Beneficiary Relationship.

  • Click Save.
