By signing into a company system (typically your computer login), you will not be required to enter your username and password when logging in to your Applicant Tracking System, Onboarding, and/or Talent Management System (Learning Management, Performance, Succession, Knowledge Base). After setting up an employee with SSO, it is recommended to have the employee try the SSO link to log in.
Instructions for the:
Applicant Tracking System
- Within the Applicant Tracking System, click Administration and go to User Maintenance.
- To create a new user, click Add User. To update an existing user, click the
pencil icon under the Action column.
- Complete/edit the user profile fields as necessary. For more information about completing/editing user profiles fields, you can refer to Complete Guide to User Maintenance.
- To enable SSO for the user, enter the External Authentication username for the employee into the labeled field. If you are unsure what their username should be, check with your IT team.
Onboarding
- From Onboarding, click Administration and go to the Users tab.
- To add a new user, click Add User. To update an existing user, click the ... button under the Action column, then click Edit.
- Complete/edit the user profile fields as necessary. For more information about completing/editing user profiles fields, you can refer to Complete Guide to Users for Onboarding.
- To enable SSO for the user, enter the External Authentication username for the employee into the labeled field. If you are unsure what their username should be, check with your IT team.
Talent Management
- Within Talent Management, click Account Admin. and go to the Peoples page.
- To add a new user, click New Item.... To update an existing user, click Edit next to the user record.
- Complete/edit the user profile fields as necessary. For more information about completing/editing user profiles fields, you can refer to Understanding the People Page.
- To enable SSO for the user, enter the SSO Domain Prefix and SSO Username for the employee into the labeled fields.
- The SSO Domain Prefix can be found by referencing another employee profile that is set up for SSO, or checking with your IT team.
- If you are unsure of the value for the SSO Username, check with your IT team.
- To enable SSO for the user, enter the SSO Domain Prefix and SSO Username for the employee into the labeled fields.
Important Note: If you are mass uploading users through the Import Tool (or via SFTP):
- Make sure to import the users with a login that already has SSO set up.
- Make sure the SSO Username is populated for ALL users included in the document that will be using SSO.
