The Data Menu of the HR Portal includes screens for Importing and Exporting data from the system. The Standard Imports functionality available from the Data, Imports, Standard menu option has been updated with a user experience more consistent with the other Modules within the HRIS Application, as well as to provide for improved performance.
The main Data Import screen now includes the following two tabs:
- Import - provides a clear three-step process for importing data from a file
- File History - provides a history of imports completed either via a standard import or a scheduled import
In addition to the User Interface changes described above, the supported Import Layouts that were previously available on this screen are now available from within the Online Help area of the application. The Import Layouts provide improved clarification on when records will be inserted versus updated and provide clear indicators as to which fields are considered key fields within the import.
