Complete Guide to Crews in ExakTime Mobile

Introduction to Crews

Crews and Groups in ExakTime Mobile are a useful way to organize data. Crews are just Groups of Employees, usually organized by who they work for, or where they are working. 

The following guide will show you how to clock in for crews (or just for other individuals) and how to set up crews. Useful articles related to this topic like Team View and Site Hub will be noted as well.

How to Clock in for a Crew/Group or another individual

A crew clock in/out allows a user to clock in/out multiple employees in a single step to expedite the process.

To begin, open ExakTime Mobile on your mobile device.

If it has been properly set up, you will encounter a number pad.

At the number pad, you will enter your ExakTime Mobile PIN and press the arrow in the bottom right. If you are unsure of your ExakTime Mobile PIN, please check with your ExakTime.

While logged in, press Clock For in the Time Clock section.

In the Time Clock section, you can select the appropriate employee or crew, location and cost code for the group of employees.

When satisfied with your selection, press Go to clock them in or Stop to clock them out.

You may be prompted to confirm your crew. If so, deselect the people you DO NOT want to clock in/out.

How to Create a Crew or Group

Create a crew or group helps the ExakTime Mobile user to organize employees, locations or cost codes into groups to make it easier to find specific information.

As of ExakTime Mobile Version 2.64, Crews made by an employee in ExakTime Mobile will only appear for the creator on that device.

To begin, open ExakTime Mobile on your mobile device.

If it has been properly set up, you will encounter a number pad.

At the number pad, you will enter your ExakTime Mobile PIN and press the arrow in the bottom right. If you are unsure of your ExakTime Mobile PIN, please check with your ExakTime.

Once logged in, press the menu button in the top left.

In the menu, press Manage.

From the manage screen, you can create a new crew or group by selecting the appropriate subject.

NOTE: Any crews or group made on a device, only appears to users using that device.

iOS:

To add or edit a crew or group, press Edit."

To create a new crew or group, press the + button in the top left. Enter a name for the crew or group when prompted. After confirming the name, you will be prompted to select what items should be added to this group. When finished, press Done.

To remove a crew or group, press the - next to a crew or group.

When satisfied with your changes, press Done.

Android:

To add a crew or new group, press +.

Enter a name for the crew or group when prompted. After confirming the name, you will be prompted to select what items should be added to this group. When finished, press Save.

To remove or edit a crew or group, select the appropriate crew or group and press the Menu button or the three dots in the top right to expand a menu with the options to rename, edit or delete the crew or group.
