Using the Time Audit Reports

The audit reports are used to review any time record edits, additions, or deletions on the Time card Details page within ExakTime Connect by a user with appropriate permission. 

The reports indicate the date and time of edits are in the UTC/GMT time. This ensures data is consistent across multiple timezones. If you are unsure of what the time should be in relation to you, you can refer to a time conversion website, such as this one.

Both reports are accessed by going to Reports and are located at the top of the list.

Time Audit Report Version Differences

Depending on the time card version your account is using and the date range of your report, you may view a different version of the report. Both examples have been provided for the respective reports below.

  • Previous Report Version - The previous version of the report will be shown if you are viewing a date range prior to or including the time card upgrade for your account.
  • Updated Report Version - The updated version of the report will be shown if you are viewing a date range after the time card upgrade for your account. For more information about the upgrade time card, you can refer to the following article.

If you are unsure which time card version your account has, you can refer to the following time card examples.

  • Previous Time Card Version - If the stop times have black text and there is no "clock out" indicator like the example below, then you have the previous time card version.

  • Upgraded Time Card Version - If the stop time for your time records is slightly grayed out and some time records have a "Clock Out" icon like the example below, then you are viewing the updated time card view.

Time Audit Reports for Previous Time Card

Time Modifications by Editor

This report is intended to group up time card adjustments by the editor. The report will show the date of the edit, what type of adjustment was done, who was affected, and the information of the record that was changed. If information was added or edited, the new information will be in bold.

When using the employee filter, the employee that will be filtered is the editor, not the employee.

Report Specific Options

  • Show Employee/Location/Cost Code ID
  • Sort by Name/ID Number
  • Separate Names and IDs with new line, double space, hyphen, or colon.
  • Group by Category
  • Show each Employee on a separate page
  • Display Comment Changes

Time Modifications by Affected Employee

This report will group the time adjustments made to an employee's time card based on the affected employee. The report will show the date of the edit, who was the editor, what type of adjustment was done, and the information of the record that was changed. If information was added or edited, the new information will be in bold.

When using the employee filter, the employee that will be filtered is the affected employee, not the editor.
