Using the Approaching Overtime This Week Report

The "Approaching Overtime This Week" report shows Employees that are nearing or have exceeded the number of hours for weekly or bi-weekly overtime pay for the current pay period. It does not account for those approaching any daily overtime. Date Range values are ignored for this report.

To access the report in ExakTime Connect, go to Reports and on the left, expand the Employee section, and choose Approaching Overtime This Week from the list.

You will not need to set a date range for this report as it will only pull data from the current week.  Like all other reports, you can adjust certain aspects under the Formatting section and use the Filter section to exclude Employees, Locations, or Cost Codes.

In the Report Specific Options, there are important settings you'll want to set before running the report.

  • Show Employee ID: Have the report show Employee IDs
  • Sort by: Specify if the report sorts displayed employees by name or ID number
  • Show Employees Within: Specify the range of hours an employee needs to be within in order to be included on the report. For example, setting this to 8 means an employee must need less than 8 hours before reaching overtime to be included on the report

An example is shown below for employees who receive overtime after 40 hours a week. Employees whose hours appear in red have already gone into overtime.
