Time & Attendance Settings - IP Restrictions

The IP Restrictions tab provides the ability restrict the Time & Attendance Feature on the Employee Portal or Software Time Clock to only the IP Addresses entered on this screen.

If no restrictions are entered, then Users will be able to enter Time Data from any location (upon authentication). The public IP address of the network should be used, the software will not access the local IP address of a device.

Entering a Single IP Address

  1. Click the radio button next to IP Address
  2. Enter the IP address in the provided field
  3. Provide a Description (optional)
  4. Click Save Address

Entering an IP Range

  1. Click the radio button next to IP Range
  2. Enter the IP range in the provided fields
  3. Provide a Description (optional)
  4. Click Save Address

Deleting an Existing IP Address

Once and IP address is added, it will populate in the table down below. To delete, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Select the right-hand check box of the IP address that needs to be removed 
  2. Actions Drop Down Menu
  3. Delete Selected Record(s)

Additional Notes

  • The public IP address of the network should be used, the software will not access the local IP address of a device.

  • In order to utilize the Software Time Clock IP Restrictions must be utilized 
  • IP restrictions can only be ignored for an employee logging time if they utilize the mobile app to clock in and out
